The wearer can download the Spinali app to create a profile and answer questions about their unique skin type so that the app can advise them. Alerts are sent to the user smartphone device to remind them to reapply sunscreen or get out of the sun altogether, depending on the wearer intentions. The Spinali app also includes a Valentine function that allows the wearer designated partner to get in on the action. When it is enabled, the sensor alerts the partner smartphone when the bikini wearer needs some help applying sunscreen.The lightweight sensor is removable, waterproof and measures less than two centimeters. The bikini labels are printed on the inside of the suit and are customizable with a photo or message.In addition to the bikini, Spinali has also created a connected beach towel that includes a UV sensor.
